June 22nd, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Reb Whit The great city of Las Vegas is known for many things, mainly casinos, gambling, hotels and Elvis impersonators. From fancy hotels to all you an eat 2 dollar buffets, Las Vegas has everything. Las Vegan is also known for one other thing and that is weddings. Thousands every year flock to sin city to tie the knot trouble free. In this article, we will briefly discuss the institution known as Las Vegas wedding planning. The phrase, Las Vegas wedding planning is somewhat of a misnomer. The reason being is that someone can show up in Las Vegas and have a halfway decent wedding with no plans at all. Las Vegas also has some of the loosest restrictions regarding licenses. If you are planning a wedding in Las Vegas, you will need a license from the state of Nevada. You shouldnt worry about this fact to much. People have had more difficulty opening a paper sack. AS long as you have proof of identification and the all important 55 dollar license fee. The state of Nevada will happily grant you al license to get married. The next stage of Las Vegas wedding planning is to find a location. This is where the true beauty of Las Vegas shines because quite literally anything can happen. There are chapels offering the grandest of ceremonies, fir for royalty all the way down to the drive up window wedding for 20 bucks. For an extra 5 dollars you can get fries and a drink with your vows. What ever you desire. Las Vegas is sure to have t for your wedding. Some of the chapels will provide the music, flowers and some even clothes so you literally need to do nothing but show up. Some chapels even loan out the rings. For someone who wants as little hassle as possible in planning a wedding, Las Vegas could provide the answer. For relatively little money you can get married virtually hassle free and enjoy your honeymoon in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Go to Las Vegas and get hitched without a hitch. Revival: Must We Lose Our Minds, Part 1

June 19th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Les Herron The Bereans were congratulated out of all the churches for checking Pauls preaching of the gospel with the then only testament, the Old Testament. He congratulated them and encouraged others to do the same. Paul was preaching a radically new thing that was considered outside the teachings of the majority of the Jewish priests yet with study the Bereans were able to see that Pauls teachings lined up right alongside their sacred scripture. They did not lose their minds but rather engaged their minds with the help of the Holy Spirit and the written word of God. Because of their daily search of the scriptures to find out what Paul and Silas were teaching many believedJews and Greeks and prominent men and women. These were men who were more fair-minded or more noble than the men of Thessalonica in that they received the words from Paul and Silas eagerly (emotionally) and with scripture study (intellectually). It has been said to just turn your minds off when it comes to revival services or river services. Is that really what God is asking us to do? Is the Creator of our entire body and the fullness of who we are asking us to check our brain at the door before He can touch us and we can experience Him? This is the God who said that the greatest commandment is to love Him with all of who we are, including our minds. Is it a true experience with Him if our mind is not engaged? Are we able to know Him in His entirety if we neglect loving Him with our minds? Teacher which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment (Matthew 22:36-37) The Apostle Paul, arguably the smartest guy and the most educated one in the New Testament, said that our lives are transformed by the renewal of our minds. So, if we are all about transformation then how will that happen without the mind engaged? And maybe this is part of the problem people have with what passes for revival in this generation: the lack of transformation in peoples lives. What if the intellect was engaged and the gifts of discernment and wisdom and the ministry gifts of pastoring and leadership were added to the mix of the anointed evangelist instead of allowing the evangelist to determine how the revival ran its course? When one gift is evident should all the other gifts cease? When one gift is being appreciated should all the other gifts be depreciated? It must not be so. Paul, in II Corinthians 12 (check reference) states that the entire body works together with each part contributing to the success and maturing of the body. In Ephesians (chapter 5) it says that each part works together for the maturing and the stability and the growing to full maturity of the body. Is it any different when revival hits? Maybe the anointed revivalist needs some assistance from the rest of the body when God hits the local church. Maybe the reason the anointing leaves so quickly and the feeling fades is that the body has not been engaged in what God is doing but is rather on the sidelines watching the show, which allows us to just step right back into life as normal. It appears that the very gifts that are needed during this time are the ones that are underappreciated at the very least or ignored and rejected at the most. Things like hospitality are left out with statements such as I just want to be a Mary and not a Martha. I Corinthians chapter 14 states that the prophetic should judge words of the prophet that is speaking yet we rarely see this dynamics in a church setting. We speak about freedom in our services while at the same time putting people of intellect in bondage. We dance and call it freedom yet subtly state that if you are not dancing then you probably lack freedom, instead of thinking that maybe some are so free that they do not have to dance when a specific song comes on or when the preacher says they must dance for breakthrough. What about the great men and women of the Bible? Did they lose their minds in order to walk anointed in their call? Should I Have A Face Lift?

June 15th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Wendy Owen Good question! A face lift is major surgery and surgery means blood, mess, discomfort, stitches and time out to recover. A face lift is expensive too. There are risks to consider, one is hematoma when the blood collects under the skin and has to be surgically removed. Damage to the nerves that control your facial muscles is another although this is less common. Slow healing time can also be a problem although this is found mainly in smokers. Oh! and don’t forget the usual risks that are involved with anesthesia. On the plus side, the effects of a face lift are quite dramatic. It is without a doubt the fastest and most permanent way of shedding your ‘old’ face and regaining some of that youthful beauty you were born with.. If you’ve considered these things and decided that the final outcome is worth it, then proceed, but first please ask yourself these questions. Why do I want a facelift? Am I doing this because its going to help me find the job that I really want? This is a valid reason for going ahead. It shouldn’t matter to those that hire people how old the applicant is or what they look like, but in the real world we know that these things do play a part. If you have a job that has a lot of public exposure, this may also be a good reason to proceed. Am I doing this because my partner wants me to? Red alert! Never let anyone else talk you into having a facelift. It is a very personal decision and one only you should make. Ask yourself why are you with someone who values you only for your appearance. Honor yourself, you are more than your face! Perhaps you should be working on your relationship and leaving your face alone! I’m thirty five and have lots of wrinkles around my eyes and cheeks, and my neck is all mottled A face lift won’t help this situation. You are better off exploring the avenue of laser resurfacing or even chemical peels, they will strip the old layer of skin off and reveal a smoother younger appearance. It sounds like you have a lot of sun damage, get educated on the use of sunblock! Its everybody’s most important cosmetic. I’m depressed and don’t feel good about myself. Maybe a facelift will help me feel better? It may for a little while, but it sounds like you have a self esteem problem. Learn to love yourself the way you are first. Then if you still feel a facelift would give your morale a boost, go ahead. I’m in my early fifties and notice my face is starting to sag quite badly. I can afford the surgery and reckon I might just do this for myself. A good idea, you’ve thought it through and decided its something you want not something you need. Find a professional surgeon in your area and follow all his/her advice on how to prepare for your face lift. Don’t forget to mention any medication you are taking and if you are a smoker, stop two weeks before surgery is scheduled. It will speed your recovery time. Good luck! Permanent Hair Removal Considerations

June 7th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Oliver Turner Permanent hair removal means stopping the growth of hair for longer period. There is no such technique or equipment to completely for unwanted hair removal forever. However new technologies are available for removing the hair very efficiently for a long period. The technologies available reduce unwanted hair growth for longer period but not permanently. It is frustrating for a person to remove unwanted hair especially in difficult parts of the body unless the right method is chosen for removal of unwanted hair. By modern methods people can choose to get rid of the unwanted hair almost permanently and with ease. Several technologies are available in the market by which long-term hair growth stoppage can be achieved. These methods include laser hair removal, electrolysis, intense pulsed lamps etc. 1) LASER HAIR REMOVAL: It is a new technology used to stop the growth of the unwanted hair. In this method the laser causes damage the root of hair without causing damage to rest of the skin. It is considered the one of most effective and safe methods of hair removal and suitable for large area. This technique enables the hair removal for light skin and dark hair only. Even if removed hair grows back it is usually thinner and lighter in color. 2) ELECTROLYSIS: This method reduces the hair growth for a long period if it is performed correctly and efficiently. In this method a thin metal probe is inserted into hair follicle (in a hair root) and electricity is passed through the probe. Due to this permanent damage is caused to the follicle or hair root, due to which hair stops to grow. Although the method is expensive and a little bit painful, it is still a safe method providing good long-term results. However, electrolysis may not be suitable for hair removal in large areas. 3) INTENSE PULSED LAMPS OR FLASH LAMP: Gives good and long term results in removal of hair. Here specific wavelengths of light are generated in a flash lamp’s and the full spectrum is transferred to the dark root of the hair to damage it. It is similar to the laser technology. Thinking Ahead in the Job Search

June 1st, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Joanne Waldman Job Searchers, have you ever been so close to getting a new position that you stop doing most of the things that brought you to that point? It is easy to get so excited over one potential opportunity that you forget how important it is to keep your pipeline full of leads. A job search takes time, potentially three to six months, or longer in our current economy, depending upon your particular skill and salary level. People often get discouraged at the amount of time it is taking and may slow down or even stop the process. In addition, employers often state an ideal time frame to fill the position. However, that goal may not be realistic, and the employer may take much longer than anticipated filling the position. Waiting on a specific job could put you at risk. Perhaps you have interviewed once or even several times for the job. During the interview process, you receive encouraging signals that you are the top candidate. As a result, you decide that this is the job for you and you stop developing other leads. Then, you discover the position has gone to someone else. Where does that leave you in your job search? All your eggs were in one basket and now you are back at square one with nothing on the radar screen and weeks wasted because you were counting on this job. So, what are some of the things you can do to keep the momentum going in your job search? Be aware that this is a process and takes time, energy and commitment. The more you put in, the more you get back. Set up some structures to ensure that you spend a certain amount of time each week on your search. That could include networking activities or even going to the gym, as long as you are cultivating opportunities. Remember to keep looking at and applying for openings until you have completely negotiated for your next position. Continue the activities that resulted in success. Seek out the assistance of a coach or job search buddy who can help keep you accountable during the demands of a search. Think out of the box for possible job options or employers. You may have several skill sets to promote rather than just one. Continue exploring and talking to anyone you can about potential opportunities. Keep your pipeline full of leads and you may be surprised by the results. Your negotiating power and your confidence will increase when you have more than one option. Luscious Lips - How to Maintain Beautiful Lips Throughout the Year

May 29th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Livia Mercer The onset of winter generally means dryer skin and this is noticed most on your lips. Not only do lips have the thinnest skin on them but they have almost no sebaceous (oil) glands and absolutely no sweat glands. Add to this the fact that lips lose 3-10 times more moisture than the other parts of the face, so no wonder we have dry lips. What do most of us instinctively do when we have dry lips? Yes, we lick them. Making the problem worse, because the saliva actually eats away that precious thin skin layer we have on our lips, therefore making the lips drier, even to the point of cracking and bleeding. Avoid getting to this state at all costs. Step 1) Always, always keep your lips hydrated! Even at night. Get into the habit of applying lip cream or lip balm as part of your skincare routine. Personally I choose not to use a lip balm with an SPF at night as you don’t need it but I prefer ones with vitamin A or E in them to nourish the lips. You will find that smooth, moist lips will hold lip gloss or lipstick the best. Step 2) Create the right foundation! To make sure your lips always look their best without any bleeding of the colour or simply disappeared lipstick, you need a little preparation. This works well both for lipsticks and lip glosses. A: Apply foundation all over your lips. B: With lip liner, colour in the whole lip area, not just the outline. C: It is always best to stick to your natural lip line initially. Once your natural shape is established you can, very carefully even out the lips or extend the outline. Be Cautious when doing this as there is nothing worse than seeing an unnatural lip line. Step 3) Colour in the masterpiece! A: Apply your colour starting at the centre of your lips and thinning the colour out towards the corners of your mouth. B: So you don’t end up wearing your lipstick on your teeth, place your index finger in your mouth, close your lips around it and pull it out. This is a fantastic way to remove any excess colour. Make sure you wipe your finger; otherwise you will end up with the colour on your clothes. Step 4) Budge proof your lipstick! Personally I’m not a big fan of long last lipsticks as these generally are drier formulations and make my lips uncomfortably dry especially in winter. So to budge proof your lipstick, follow these steps. A: After applying your colour, blot with a tissue. B: Lightly powder your lips with a brush or a puff. C: Reapply colour. Following these steps will ensure you never again will experience dry, cracked, chapped lips. What’s more your lips will look glamorous no matter what the occasion! Reel Advice: Learn From These Hollywood Flicks

May 26th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Brian McDonald The best way to learn the tips and tricks of dating is by seeing them come to life before your eyes. Here are two films with excellent dating advice for the average guy. Hitch Any guy can sweep any girl off her feet, he just needs the right broom. The premise of this Will Smith movie is that any guy, if given the right opportunity, can sweep the woman of his dreams off her feet. Will Smith plays a character named Hitch, whose job is to help his clients (the men) get the women of their dreams. Dont be mistaken its not about scoring with as many women as you can, its about falling in love with a woman who seems to overlook you and learning how to successfully get her attention. One of the first things that Hitch says early in the movie is that you cannot use what you do not have. If youre shy, you dont have to pretend otherwise. If youre not into books, then dont pretend that youve read Dostoevsky. See, whenever you pretend to be something else, you end up making a fool out of yourself. While you can learn to overcome your shyness and your other faults, dont expect to make this change all at once. Its best to focus on improving what you have, rather than trying to pull off being someone that youre not. This movie has a treasure trove of dating advice, plus, its actually one of the few romantic comedies that even guys can enjoy. From dancing to kissing and proper dating etiquette, this movie is a must-see for those who are seriously looking to improve their dating skills. The Tao of Steve If you’re out with this girl and even THINKING about getting laid, you’re finished, coz women can smell an agenda like s*** on a shoe. According to this movie, Steve is the prototypical cool American male. Based on the persona of Steve Mc Queen, this guy never tries to impress the girl, but gets her in the end anyway. The Tao of Steve has 3 rules: 1. Be desireless. When youre with the girl you like, dont think about getting into bed with her. Listen to what shes saying. Or else youll get your priorities mixed-up and shell know whats really going on inside your head. 2. Be excellent. Do something excellent and impressive in her presence. If youre good with pets, walk your neighbors dogs one Saturday. Find something that youre really talented at, and give her a chance to see it. 3. Be gone. Its important that you dont start coming on too strong. Sometimes you should choose your friends or your personal space over her. According to The Tao of Steve, we pursue that which retreats from us. Let her know that she only has once chance with you, and then youre gone. This is bound to raise your value in her eyes. New Opportunities To Make Money Online

May 18th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Adrian Moreniche All you have to do to earn money now is to join an affiliate program or maybe several or a lot of internet marketing affiliate programs. They represent a great opportunity to make money online and should be taken very seriously. To make the most of what affiliate marketing has to offer, many people choose to join adult affiliate programs as they are some of the top paying on the internet. Thousands of people join in every year and probably no more than a few hundreds really succeed in earning big time cash. Most of them believe that all you have to do is to join in and the money will start to come your way and fill your bank account and all you have to do is to place a few banner ads and text links every now and then on your web site(s).Nothing can be further from the truth! You will have to work hard and for a long time to get to the top. Only the people who can stick to a schedule will be able to break through. And thats a good thing for everybody hard working affiliates will have more opportunities to make money online, while people who join affiliate programs by the hundreds will have less and less room to earn money now, or at least to earn money fast. So whats the best thing to do when you join an affiliate program to be sure you make the most of all the opportunities to make money online? You have to build your web site, of course. This is the first thing you have to do when you join an affiliate program. If you are serious about internet marketing affiliate programs, then you need a web site. Nothing else will help you benefit from every make money online opportunity once youve joined an affiliate program better than a web site. And when you look at all the poorly designed web sites that clutter the internet, you understand why a good web site is of paramount importance if you want to earn money now with adult affiliate programs. If you already have a web site, thats even better. It means you already have first hand knowledge on how to build and maintain an online presence and that accounts for about 90% of an affiliates job description. The rest is the research on your market niche and the inspiration to come up with the best ideas of promoting your products and attracting your customers. Because I Am Worth It

May 9th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Josie Hill Many women feel they are putting their relationship first by spending all their free time with their partners. But too much time together can not only drain you of your conversation, but also your attractiveness and your self-esteem. Newlywed Lydia found herself slipping into the routine of skipping gym and collapsing on the sofa with her husband in front of the telly with a glass of wine and dinner on a tray. After the exhaustion of planning the wedding, it was natural to want to nest at home together, and money was tight after all the wedding bills. But it was causing the spark in their relationship to fade. Lydia was becoming more of a boring sloth than a sparkling witty siren. Lydia realised she wanted more than just a comfortable relationship. Working with The Wedding Coach, Lydia followed the following 8 steps towards getting things revved up. 1. Get out there Go out at least twice a week without your partner. See a movie with a friend, or join a book club, or meet a mate for a coffee. Your time spent apart will mean you have more to talk about when you are together, and he will miss you when you are gone. Parting is such sweet sorrow! 2. Get creative Find a hobby. Look at your local councils website you will find loads of interesting adult courses in the evening or on weekends. The courses are fun, inexpensive, and cater for beginners. It will bring out the playful child in you, and who could resist that? 3. Get active Take up some type of exercise. You will feel and look better for doing it and you will come back glowing and radiant. Think of all those sexy pheromones in your sweat he will find you irresistible! 4. Get gorgeous Treat yourself like a princess. Your partner loves you whatever you look like, but you will feel better about yourself for making the effort. If you are the type who lives in jeans, try wearing only skirts or dresses for a week. Do something every day that reinforces your femininity. 5. Get organised Cut down your TV by 1 hour a day, and spend that time getting your life in order. Sort out the bills, the thank-you letters, your will and insurance. These are things that can quickly become a point of conflict in a relationship, and you will feel in control by knowing they are all sorted. 6. Get planning Set some goals for you and your partner. Perhaps it is a holiday to Peru, or buying a rental property together. Work on the plan together. This is a great way to build your relationship and get you working as a team. 7. Get focused Work out what you want to accomplish in your life be it to have children, or see the Northern Lights, or own your own business. Set up a plan for how you are going to get there. The last thing in life you want is to wake up 10 years from now and resent your partner for all the things you havent done. And you will probably find your motivation is a source of inspiration for your partner. 8. Get support Dont be afraid to ask for help. Talk to your partner about what he can do to support you, and dont forget to ask what you can do to support him. If you are the type who lets thing slide, and whose plans fall by the wayside, consider hiring a life coach to help keep you on track. It might seem like an effort to follow the steps above, or that you are spending too much time away from your partner, but variety is the spice of life, and your relationship will wither in the face of boredom. Remember that you and your relationship are worth it. Beginning to Sew Modest Clothing Patterns - Recommendations from the Experts

May 4th, 2008 by baetsestabrooks

By Basya Speshel People sew their own clothing for many reasons. Some sew to express themselves, creating clothing that is unique from anything you could find ready made in a store. Others sew because they cannot find what they want in a store. Yet others sew their family’s clothing for budgetary reasons. While mass production has lowered the costs of every day casual clothing, occasion dresses and holiday dresses can still be sewn at home for a fraction of the price of purchasing them. There are those who can sew without a pattern, just with the measurements of the person and some good drafting skills. Many, however, need a sewing pattern to assemble a garment from a bolt of fabric. One niche in the online pattern industry caters to those looking for modest style clothing. Some customers are interested in “plain” clothing such as Amish or Mennonite styles, others are looking for more modern styles that cover more skin, and others are looking for timeless or period styles such as Edwardian or Swing era styles. Are you interested in sewing your own clothes? Check out what these online vendors have to say about their clothing patterns: Which of your patterns would you recommend to a beginner at sewing? PaisleyPincushion.biz: I recommend the Reversible Apron for beginners. It doesn’t use much yardage, and is quick to sew. I try very hard to put explicit instructions in each pattern. Usually when people have trouble doing a pattern it’s because they skim the words, or only go by pictures. Read, read and reread the instructions. A good habit to have is completely reading the instructions, even before you purchase your fabric. I answer questions also: calls and emails are welcome. I want ladies to finish and like what they have made. CandleOntheHill.net: It depends what you would like to sew! There are a variety of patterns that are good for a beginning seamstress. We also offer a page on our web site with tips, information, and how-to, for those looking to learn to sew. The Kwik Sew Skirt Pattern, the Simple Culottes pattern, and the Simple Skirt pattern are great choices for a beginner because they are uncomplicated and quick to make. They require no buttons or zippers, yet give good sewing experience for a beginner. Many of the Baby & Toddler patterns are good choices, too. The Quick and Comfy Dresses pattern is a favorite, as well as the Elizabeth Lee Little Ones pattern. CommonSensePatterns.com: For a beginner new to sewing, I would recommend any skirt or jumper pattern (shoulder button). Once you make one of the basic style dresses, you will find it goes together quite easily and from then on you will only get better and better. What are your best selling patterns? PaisleyPincushion: Hands down, the Scalloped Apron. They have all have had successful runs at different times….and there is no guessing when or which one will be next. CandleOnTheHill: Our apron patterns are very popular sellers. We also sell a lot of the Country Classic and Country Cape dress patterns. The Simple Culottes for both girls and ladies have been hugely popular. We also sell a lot of our head covering patterns. Whether worn for religious observance or other reasons, they have been a popular purchase. We’ve added some helpful information and tips for those that want to get more comfort and ease out of wearing a headcovering. Our Cloth Menstrual Pads pattern is one of our best sellers of all. I know that may seem unexpected, but many women are happily discovering this budget saving option. CommonSensePatterns: Women buy all of our patterns, but probably the best selling patterns are: Women’s Lace Collar Dress and the Girls Lace Collar Dress Women’s Panel Dress Women’s square neck dress The preteen combo (square neck/sweetheart neckline dress) Preteen empire dress. Those sewing their own clothing are finding new options for purchasing patterns online. Niche markets, such as modest clothing patterns are still growing. These cottage industry businesses emphasize customer service as well as quality products.
